The villa is a joint venture Karen C/5 and Bruce T/9. It has been designed by them both and is totally accommodating for six people including three wheelchair users in comfort. There are three twin bedrooms one of, which has a nimbus two mattress for anyone who is worried about their skin. There are two bathrooms one of which has a huge wheel in shower and rails where necessary. There is sky TV,DVD hi-fi everything you would expect in your home away from home. There are 2 electrically operated beds, and an electric hoist. Electric scooters and the van with wheelchair lift as shown above can be hired with prior notice.

The 40ft swimming pool is accessible by shower chair via a ramp and handrails this and the gardens are all enclosed and private. The gardens are also planted with a number of tropical plants.

The villa is situated on the outskirts of Torrevieja fifteen minutes from the centre and beaches which are all totally accessible with man made lagoons which are all ramped. The beach front goes for miles and it is nice to push along the beaches of La Mata. Also 5 minutes away and totally accessible are plenty of shops etc. There is also a fresh water lagoon, which is favourite with bird watchers.

Quesada, which is next door to Atalaya Park, has shops, Banks, Bars, Aqua Park, petrol station, doctor’s surgery and a dentist. Everything you could ever need!

About an hours drive away is Benidorm and all the facilities in Benidorm are wheelchair friendly so there’s no need to worry about getting around. Carrefoure hypermarket is no longer then five minutes away.

There are a number of Golf courses around Torrevieja, which with 320 days of sunshine a year is said by the world health organization to have the healthiest climate in Europe.

The disabled beach is 7 mins away and has disabled toilets showers free sunbeds and on certain days red cross volunteers are there to take you in to the sea in special aqua-chairs.
